Will Sri Lanka get thumped again by Australia?

So we are back Down Under for yet another series. The last time Sri Lanka visited Australia for a cricket tour was in 2007. In that time we have played India many many times but a tour to Australia is a rare thing.

As rare as a tour there, is winning there. Let's be real. The Aussies have kicked our asses a number of times, and it's hard to expect a change this time.

The Sri Lanka cricket team departed for Australia on October 17 and have already arrived there. They play Queensland in a warm up game on October 22 and play the first official match on October 31.

This is Muttiah Muralitharan's last tour to Australia, and the focus is already on him.

Percy Abeysekera looses his soulmate

It is with great sadness I write about the passing of Percy's wife. RIP Melony Abeysekara.

Meloney, who was 59 at the time of her sudden death, married to Percy in 1968 and was a mother of two, Sampath Garfield and Nadeesha Nimmi.

Meloney had been accompanying Percy when he was in Australia, England, Pakistan and India cheering the Sri Lankan cricket team in many matches. Last week, she had been busy preparing herself to leave with his cricket crazy husband for Australia again, coming Wednesday for the ODI cricket series.

Vaas and Sanath back in to the Sri Lankan side

What next?? Will Aravinda de Silva and Arjuna Ranatunga too make a comeback? Sri Lanka is looking more like a master's cricket side than a international cricket team.

Take that Shane Warne!

Gary Sobers thinks the fat douche Warne is nothing much.

The greatest all-rounder in cricket history Garry Sobers has made it known what he really thinks about Australian leg spinner Shane Warne.

In a book released yesterday Sobers said he had "reservations about Shane" implying that Warne was overrated.
